The Project
I created an experimental microsite documenting the LGBT rights movement in Taiwan. Among my peers, interest in LGBT rights advocacy abroad seems to be declining, maybe because these rights already exist where we live. I wanted to highlight an inspiring story from outside the Western context.
Taiwan became the first country in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage in 2019, sixteen years after hosting its first pride parade in Taipei in 2003. That timeline felt worth exploring.

Presenting a 16-year historical timeline in an engaging way wasn't simple. The microsite organizes curated links to news articles and videos, with each page containing a title, description, date, credits when needed, and an image that links to external content.
The technical challenge involved implementing custom scroll behavior while keeping the site responsive across all devices. This required custom code beyond what Framer could do natively.
